Relatively recent breakthroughs in the field of minimally invasive urologic surgery have led to dramatic improvements in patient comfort, recovery time and long-term functionality. Today, most prostate surgery is performed via minimally invasive methods that employ the use of laparoscopic instruments and/or robotic guidance systems.
